Tutto è pronto per le nozze tra Kate Middleton e il Principe William, in programma il 29 aprile. Parlerà anche italiano, per la precisione abruzzese, quello che è già stato definito il matrimonio più importante d'inizio secolo. Per le prossime nozze tra il Principe William d'Inghilterra e Kate Middleton l'associazione 'Ars - Azione di Ricerca e Sviluppo', ha offerto in dono i famosi confetti della città di Sulmona. L'omaggio comprende anche uno speciale 'bouquet di confetti' per la sposa, identificabile nell'insieme dei colori e della composizione come uno degli inconfondibili prodotti del raffinato e prezioso artigianato sulmonese. Una tradizione dalla storia antichissima, che identifica la città dell'entroterra abruzzese, come vera patria del confetto su tutto il territorio nazionale. "Ma la vera particolarità, per un appuntamento così importante, è rappresentata dal fatto che ciascun confetto porta inciso il nome degli sposi, la data e il luogo del matrimonio - informa una nota - Questo grazie ad una particolare tecnica di processo che permette così la realizzazione di un prodotto 'personalizzato', unico al mondo". L' iniziativa è stata portata avanti dall'associazione Ars, attraverso la mediazione dell'Ambasciata d'Italia a Londra. "Il gesto infatti - spiegano - oltre a voler rappresentare un regalo di nozze per l'esclusivo avvenimento, fornendo il massimo per quel che riguarda il settore dei confetti, ha lo scopo di promuovere sotto la giusta luce, un prodotto che ha reso famoso il nome di Sulmona e più in generale il Made in Italy". Molte le teste coronate che saranno presenti. E non poteva essere altrimenti, dal momento che si sposa l’erede al trono britannico. Ma molte anche le celebrities, che sono state invitate direttamente dagli sposi. Personaggi noti del mondo dello spettacolo (anche Mr. Bean) e dello sport, che sono stati inseriti nella lista ufficiale degli invitati direttamente dagli sposi. Non invitati i due ex premier laburisti, Tony Blair e Gordon Brown.
